Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Captain (r) Safdar and Hanif Abbasi, who recently went successful angioplasties, are likely to remain hospitalised for the next couple of days.
Both leaders had stents put in their hearts due to arterial blockages. Their doctors have advised that they stay under medical supervision at the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology for a couple of days.
Their conditions will be assessed after two to three days, after which doctors will decide whether they are fit to go back to the jail.
Abbasi has been jailed in the ephedrine case while Captain (r) Safdar has been sentenced to one year in the Avenfield reference. Abbasi’s family has claimed that they are not being allowed to meet him at the hospital.
