SHEIKHUPURA: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif on Sunday said that people of Pakistan will reject the decision to oust him from premiership in the upcoming general elections 2018.
Speaking to a rally at Company Bagh, Nawaz urged the public to ‘avenge’ decision to oust him by re-electing PML-N in the upcoming elections. He also lauded the gathering for supporting him and questioned them if the former prime minister was disqualified in the eyes of public.
Taking jibes at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, Nawaz said that ‘those who talk about umpire’s finger’ would fail in the upcoming political battle. Nawaz added that he is not the one to panic in troubled times.
Addressing the attendees, Nawaz’s daughter Maryam Nawaz appreciated the party workers for arranging a successful rally. She also asked the crowd if they would let this ‘circus’ against former PM continue.
Maryam was also presented with a 55-gram Gold coated crown by local traders.
