ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has congratulated Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly Speaker Sardar Ghulam Sadiq on reported acceptance of his nomination papers for tomorrow’s elections as Supreme Court of AJK held in abeyance the earlier decision of High Court of AJK which had disqualified him three days back.
In a press statement issued here on Wednesday, he reiterated his yesterday’s warning to PML-N that it will forget the 2014 Dharnas if it tried to hijack the AJK elections through rigging or other illegal means.
Bilawal asked the party workers, including those of PSF, Peoples Youth Organisation, Ladies Wings and other sister organisations to not only vote for the party candidates but stay alert at the polling stations to protect the ballots until the results are announced.
The PPP chairman emphasized upon the people and workers of PPP in AJK not to heed to any propaganda as the party has not entered into any alliance or seat adjustment with any other political party. All PPP candidates are contesting elections under electoral symbol of Arrow only, he added.
He said that PPP was in fact the largest political party of AJK also as it is the only Party having fielded candidates on all the 41 Constituencies of the AJK Legislative Assembly.
